Bradley Partner Brian O’Dell Featured in MBA Insights for Bringing MBA’s First School of Mortgage Banking to India

Bradley attorney Brian O’Dell was featured in MBA Insights for conducting the Mortgage Bankers Association’s first School of Mortgage Banking (SOMB) in India. The week-long SOMB course was presented to India-based employees of Tavant Technologies and Wells Fargo in Bangalore, India – the “Silicon Valley of India” – and was structured like a normal stateside course, with the same kinds of classroom material.

"The first day was very exciting," O'Dell said. "What struck me was this was something [the students] don't do every day. When we [teach classes] in the United States, students are often looking at their phones." But for SOMB India students, he said, "There was nothing more important than the school. They took it very seriously."

"I loved getting to know the students, seeing their culture," O'Dell said. "India is a beautiful, great country. I would go back in a heartbeat...I would go back tomorrow."
