Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Sabrina N. Jiwani, an attorney in the firm’s Houston office, has been appointed to the Minority Opportunities in the Legal Profession Committee of the Houston Bar Association (HBA).
“We are proud of Sabrina’s commitment to minority representation in the legal profession and we congratulate her for taking on this important committee role with the Houston Bar Association,” said Bradley’s Houston Office Managing Partner Ian P. Faria.
The Minority Opportunities in the Legal Profession Committee encourages and promotes equal opportunities for, as well as active involvement and participation by, minority lawyers in the legal profession and in the HBA by developing and sponsoring educational programs, as well as service and support projects. The committee also organizes and implements a summer clerkship program for first-year law students from the three Houston law schools to encourage equal opportunities for minority lawyers in the legal profession.
Ms. Jiwani was also appointed to the HBA’s Gender Fairness and Lawyers for a Beautiful Houston committees.
Ms. Jiwani focuses her practice on commercial litigation. She has experience representing oil and gas service companies and operators, heavy equipment manufacturers and dealers. Her experience also includes defending construction companies in multi-party suits involving large-scale infrastructure projects. She earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.
