Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Jared B. Caplan, a partner in the firm’s Houston office, has been appointed to the Houston Bar Association (HBA) Administration of Justice Committee for 2017-18.

The Administration of Justice Committee is charged with implementing and organizing the HBA’s annual Bench Bar Conference, which brings Harris County judges together with government and private attorneys to discuss current state and county legal issues. The conference alternates yearly between civil/appellate and criminal/appellate law.
Mr. Caplan has more than a decade of multi-faceted experience in the oilfield industry, including advising on business operations and successfully defending clients in multi-million-dollar litigation matters. His oil and gas work includes dispute resolution, contract disputes, toxic tort exposures, insurance coverage matters, personal injury, wrongful death, property damage and premises liability. Mr. Caplan also represents general contractors and subcontractors in commercial construction and multimillion-dollar infrastructure construction projects. He earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and his Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from Tulane University.
