Bradley attorney Aron Beezley was quoted in Law360 on government contracts-related cases attorneys will be watching in the second half of 2017. A multi-award deal from the U.S. Department of Education for debt collection services related to student loans has touched off what some attorneys have described as perhaps the most complicated bid protest dispute this year. The dispute, which involves a number of related cases, has gone from the U.S. Government Accountability Office to the Court of Federal Claims to interlocutory appeal at the Federal Circuit.

"From a procedural standpoint, it's about as complicated a bid protest as you’ll ever see," Beezley said. "There's been [many] different parties involved before the GAO and now the Court of Federal Claims, and that's not to mention the small business contractors who also weren't awarded contracts in connection with this program. It's not clear whose interests are aligned in all cases, and that would be a very complicated Venn diagram to put together."
