Bradley Partner Jay Bender Quoted in The Street on Toys R Us as Acquisition Target

Bradley attorney Jay Bender was quoted in The Street on the recent Toys “R” Us bankruptcy, which could make the company a prime acquisition target. Tech companies, including Alphabet Inc.'s Google and Amazon.com Inc., could benefit from having a larger brick-and-mortar space to showcase their gadgets and gizmos, Bender suggested.
Bender said that the Toys "R" Us Chapter 11 filing could "provide a platform for Amazon or Google to elevate themselves by having a bricks-and-mortar presence." While Bender said the idea is "purely speculative," Amazon and Google could transform the ailing toys retailer into a place where customers can find just as many tech products, like the Google Home or Amazon Echo, as traditional toys from Mattel Inc. and Hasbro Inc.
