“We are thrilled to welcome Steve to Bradley and continue the expansion of our Charlotte office,” said Bradley Charlotte Office Managing Partner Christopher C. Lam. “Steve is a thought leader on cybersecurity and privacy issues, and he will be a great addition to our preeminent team, which also includes Erin Illman. Their team is focused on helping our clients comply with state and federal privacy and data security requirements and global data protection laws.”
Mr. Snyder most recently was the chief information security officer and a member of the Cybersecurity and Data Breach team and Intellectual Property group at Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP in Charlotte. He advises on all aspects of clients’ privacy and data security programs and regularly works with technical, legal and business stakeholders to mitigate security and privacy risk. He also helps clients implement robust cybersecurity programs and has developed training and educational materials.
A registered patent attorney, Mr. Snyder is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) in the United States through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). In addition, he is certified in Cybersecurity Fundamentals by ISACA, of which he also is a member, and serves on the North Carolina Bar Association’s Privacy and Security Committee. Mr. Snyder also routinely writes and speaks on cybersecurity topics.
Mr. Snyder received his J.D. from New York University School of Law. He received his Master of Science in structural engineering and his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, both from Lehigh University.
