Chris Friedman Joins Bradley's Birmingham Office as Associate
Bradley is pleased to announce that Christopher K. Friedman has joined the firm’s Birmingham office as an associate in the Financial Services Litigation and Securities and Shareholder Litigation Practice Groups.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Chris to our Birmingham office as the newest member of our dedicated teams focusing on financial services, securities and shareholder litigation,” said Bradley Interim Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Dawn Helms Sharff.
Mr. Friedman focuses his practice on the representation of financial institutions and mortgage companies facing civil litigation in state and federal courts. Specifically, he defends financial institutions against claims of fraud, breach of contract, and misrepresentation. He also has experience representing brokerage firms against claims asserted before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Mr. Friedman has represented clients involved in complex litigation, class actions, mass tort litigation, and civil rights claims brought under 42 USC § 1983. In addition to financial institutions, his clients have included municipalities, publicly traded companies, public utilities, non-profit organizations, and quasi-governmental entities. He also has counseled government and non-profit entities in areas of risk mitigation and government relations.
Mr. Friedman previously was an attorney with Maynard Cooper & Gale and Balch & Bingham LLP.
Mr. Friedman received his J.D. (summa cum laude) from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He also holds a Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University Divinity School and a Bachelor of Arts from Birmingham-Southern College.
