Bradley is pleased to announce that Steven T. Snyder, a senior attorney in the firm’s Charlotte office, has earned the Privacy Law Specialist (PLS) designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Accredited by the American Bar Association, the PLS designation indicates rigorous experience and knowledge requirements and distinction as a leader in the privacy law industry, according to the IAPP. Founded in 2000, the not-for-profit IAPP is the largest and most comprehensive global information privacy community and resource that helps define, support and improve the privacy profession globally.
In addition to the PLS designation, Mr. Snyder holds the Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) credentials, all through the IAPP. He also is one of the first North Carolina lawyers to earn the Privacy and Information Security Law Specialty certification through the State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and is certified in Cybersecurity Fundamentals by the IT governance association ISACA.
A member of Bradley’s Banking and Financial Services Practice Group and the firm’s Privacy, Security, and Innovation team, Mr. Snyder leverages his industry experience as a network engineer and cyber risk manager to assist clients in navigating the increasingly complex matters related to data protection arising from emerging technologies. He represents clients in cyber risk assessment and mitigation in many industries, including financial services, healthcare, retail, e-commerce, health and fitness, and education. He advises on all aspects of clients’ privacy and data security programs and regularly works with technical, legal and business stakeholders to mitigate security and privacy risk. A registered patent attorney, Mr. Snyder also works with clients on due diligence related to IP and information security in mergers and acquisitions. He also has negotiated IP licenses, including large patent portfolio licenses.
