Bradley Attorneys Corby Anderson and Ted Pearce Named to Who's Who Legal: Franchise 2019

Bradley is pleased to announce that Corby Cochran Anderson and Theodore  P. Pearce, attorneys in the firm’s Charlotte office and co-chairs of Bradley’s Franchise and Distribution Industry team, have again been named by Who’s Who Legal as among the world’s leading franchise attorneys. They are the only North Carolina attorneys listed in the Who’s Who Legal: Franchise 2019.

A partner at the firm, Ms. Anderson focuses her practice on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on franchising, intellectual property and new media. She has represented clients in trials and appeals involving trademark, copyright, trade secret, patent, unfair competition, false advertising and defamation claims, as well as other contract and business tort disputes. Ms. Anderson also has defended business clients in class actions involving franchise, contract and investment issues. In addition, she regularly counsels clients on intellectual property, social media, privacy, advertising and franchise matters. She earned the International Franchise Association’s Certified Franchise Executive designation and founded Charlotte’s Franchise Business Network, co-sponsored by the IFA. 

Serving as counsel at the firm, Mr. Pearce concentrates his practice primarily on franchising. He handles the full range of transactional matters for franchise systems, including preparation and registration of franchise disclosure documents, drafting and negotiation of franchise-related agreements, and management of real estate portfolios. In addition, he has participated in a variety of financial transactions involving the purchase and sale of franchise systems by private equity groups and strategic purchasers. Prior to joining Bradley, he spent 30 years managing the legal affairs of large global franchise systems, including Meineke Car Care Centers Inc., MAACO Auto Painting, and Econo Lube & Tune.

Bradley’s Franchise and Distribution Industry team includes a dozen attorneys representing clients both nationwide and internationally. Together, they have decades of experience helping clients start, grow, manage, and protect franchise systems.. The team helps clients navigate the complex legal and regulatory challenges involved in franchising. They are also frequent speakers and authors on current issues affecting the industry.

Scheduled to be published later this year by London-based Law Business Research Limited, the upcoming 17th edition of Who’s Who Legal: Franchise lists top lawyers in franchise law with experience assisting clients in the establishment, maintenance and growth of their franchise businesses. Only lawyers who receive the highest number of recommendations from peers and clients as determined through independent research are listed in the publication. The Who’s Who Legal guides are intended to serve as reference sources for companies seeking to corroborate the reputations of lawyers recommended by another party.
