Landmark Alabama Legislation on Single Point of Filing for Businesses
Journal of Multistate Taxation and Incentives
Bruce Ely and Will Thistle were published in the Journal of Multistate Taxation and Incentives, Volume 22, Number 4, July 2012, Department: SHOP TALK.
Bruce and Will write here to inform readers about new legislation that calls for the Alabama Department of Revenue to develop and make available a system that allows any taxpayer required to file and remit a state, county, or municipal sales, use, and/or rental tax return, to file and remit those returns and payments through an electronic "single point of filing" program. Mr. Ely also was involved with the legislative effort in this matter.
