Bruce Ely, Chris Grissom, and Will Thistle published an article on the state taxation of pass-through entities in the September issue of the Journal of Multi-State Taxation and Incentives. The article, “State Taxation of Pass-Through Entities and Their Owners Continues to Evolve,” addresses state and local tax issues that both taxpayer and states encounter when applying entity-level taxes and withholding/composite return requirements, as well as the troublesome questions faced by the owners of pass-through entities conducting business in multiple states.
