Federal Law Limits Bank’s Reaction to a Data Breach

We have all seen the headlines — yet another data breach exposing sensitive customer information. The Identity Theft Resource Center estimates more than 500 data breaches have occurred so far this year, affecting over 155 million records, at some of the biggest companies in health care, financial services, higher education, government and even the security industry itself.
