New EPA program gives $1 billion in credit assurance for water projects

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a new federal loan program created by the Water Infrastructure Financing Act (WIFIA) of 2014 to stimulate investment in water infrastructure projects and tackle major water infrastructure challenges faced by local communities.
