      Represented global aerospace and defense technology company in lawsuit alleging that client misappropriated trade secrets embodied in computer code.  This case was resolved during discovery.

      Alabama Circuit Court; International Centre for Dispute Resolution; Alabama Supreme Court
      Represented polyethylene resin manufacturer in lawsuit and arbitration involving dispute arising out of construction of industrial manufacturing facility. This case was resolved while on interlocutory appeal to the Supreme Court of Alabama.

      Represented shareholder in fraud lawsuit against co-owner of construction materials business.  Tried case to verdict and obtained money judgment for client.

      Obtained summary judgment for large technology company in action seeking the release of vendor’s intellectual property from escrow as a result of vendor’s ceasing regular business operations.

      Obtained summary judgment for nationwide mortgage lender in putative class action alleging violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

      U.S. District Court, R.I.
      Represented nationwide mortgage lender in lawsuit alleging violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  This case was resolved with motion to dismiss pending.

      U.S. District Court, N.D. Ala.; Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals
      Represented magazine publisher in defamation lawsuit brought by football coach arising out of article published in national sports magazine.  This case was resolved during discovery.

      Alabama Circuit Court
      Represented property owners in dispute with commercial tenants over apportionment of proceeds of condemnation award.  Tried case to verdict in favor of property owners.

      U.S. District Court, N.D. Ala.; Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals
      Represented large technology company in action seeking declaration that client’s trademark did not infringe a claimed trademark. This case was resolved following opponent’s unsuccessful motion to dismiss and the denial of a permissive interlocutory appeal.

      Figueroa v. Merscorp., Inc., 477 Fed. Appx. 558 (11th Cir. 2012) (affirming dismissal of RICO lawsuit).

      Christian County Clerk v. Mortgage Elec. Registration Sys., Inc., No. 5:11CV-00072, 2012 WL 566807 (W.D. Ky. Feb. 21, 2012) (granting client’s motion to dismiss in dispute challenging practices of the mortgage electronic registration system).

      Figueroa v. Merscorp., Inc., 766 F. Supp. 2d 1305 (S.D. Fla. 2011) (granting client’s motion to dismiss in RICO lawsuit).

      Brackett v. Corinthian Mortgage Corp. (In re Brackett), No. 08-bk-01186, 2010 WL 1254705 (Bankr. N.D. W. Va. Mar. 25, 2010) (granting client’s motion to dismiss predatory lending claims on Federal preemption and other grounds).

      Klutho v. Corinthian Mortgage Corp., No. 4:06CV807, 2007 WL 2002495 (E.D. Mo. July 5, 2007) (granting client’s motion to dismiss in Fair Credit Reporting Act lawsuit).
