Tim Lendino’s practice focuses primarily on complex business and insurance disputes. He represents companies and individuals in a variety of disputes involving contracts, business torts, LLCs and partnerships, unfair competition, securities, and trade secrets.
Tim also represents life, health and disability insurers in litigation across the country. He regularly represents insurers in a variety of matters, including bad faith cases, ERISA litigation, agent disputes, insurance fraud and other tort actions. He has also defended insurers in class actions involving insurance policy terms and alleged misrepresentations of policy benefits. In addition, Tim manages a nationwide portfolio of interpleader matters arising from competing claims under individual and group life policies and annuity contracts.
Tim has significant experience litigating matters before the North Carolina Business Court. He has served as vice-chair of a committee appointed by the North Carolina Business Court to review and revise the Business Court Rules. Tim is a former Business Court law clerk, as he clerked for the Honorable John R. Jolly, Jr. He also serves on the Section Council for the Antitrust and Complex Business Disputes Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
Since 2015, Tim has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by North Carolina Super Lawyers for business litigation. Tim has also been recognized as a “Young Gun” in the Legal Elite edition of Business North Carolina.
