Alexandra Lynn is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Her practice primarily focuses on the prosecution and enforcement of patents and trademarks, both domestically and abroad. As a registered patent attorney, Alex uses her background in science to prepare and prosecute patents in the life sciences and mechanical arts fields. She also protects clients’ brands through trademark clearance opinions and prosecution of trademark registration applications. In addition, Alex has experience drafting licenses for a variety of technologies.

Alex received her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law (withhigh honors), where she was an articles and acquisitions editor of the Tennessee Law Review. While at UT, she was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, a legal honor society, and she won the 2018 Merchant and Gould Excellence in Intellectual Property Award.

Prior to law school, Alex worked as a research technician for a biotechnology lab and completed graduate-level coursework in translational biology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
