Emily Morrison advises clients in the healthcare industry with transactional, operational and regulatory matters. Her practice focuses on providing counsel during acquisitions, divestitures and the development of de novo facilities, as well as guiding clients through issues that arise from the complex nature of operating in a highly regulated industry. Emily has experience with matters involving hospitals, physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, home health agencies, hospices, imaging centers and other providers. She also assists clients with regulatory and operational issues, including matters related to compliance with federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws and provider enrollment.
Emily is active in professional organizations and in her community. She currently serves on the board of Rooftop Nashville, a nonprofit dedicated to building stability through a compassionate and collaborative rental/mortgage assistance program. Emily also spends time volunteering with Room in the Inn and Siloam Health’s Nashville Neighbors program.
Emily graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School and earned a B.A. (cum laude) in Politics and Psychology from Washington and Lee University. Prior to entering law school, Emily worked in marketing and sales for a healthcare technology and consulting firm in Washington, D.C.
