He has worked with clients in industries ranging from sporting goods to alcohol to healthcare, with portfolios of dozens of foreign and domestic patent applications and trademark filings.
Jake has particular experience in drafting and prosecuting patent and trademark applications with the USPTO for companies involved in a wide range of business activities including sporting goods, agricultural devices, devices based on fluid flow and mechanics, and software. He also prepares and negotiates IT software and services contracts for a wide variety of clients from technology start-ups to large institutional services companies. In addition to his transactional and contract experience, Jake has assisted in multiple patent infringement cases with a particular focus in discovery, invalidity contentions, and claim construction proceedings.
