Dorothy Pak’s extensive experience advising public and private companies in general business matters enables her to provide a broad perspective and a deep understanding to both established and emerging businesses. Her transactional capabilities include development projects, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, internal restructurings and financing transactions for companies in a wide variety of industries ranging from healthcare and financial to automotive and manufacturing.

Dorothy finds economic development work particularly rewarding, representing businesses locating in Alabama in connection with the negotiation of incentives and the implementation of economic development projects. She works closely with both state and local economic development organizations in connection with these projects. In addition, she advises clients in connection with the formation of industrial development parks and related matters.

Dorothy represented Hyundai Heavy Industries in connection with the location of its first manufacturing facility in the U.S., and represented Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) in the location, construction and financing of its automotive plant in Montgomery, Alabama. She also represents numerous first and second tier suppliers to HMMA and other automotive manufacturers including, MOBIS Alabama, POSCO AAPC, North American Lighting, Halla Climate Systems Control and Brose Tuscaloosa, not only in their development projects, but in ongoing matters impacting their businesses. Watching her clients grow literally from the ground up is one of her favorite parts of her profession.
