Melissa Paquette focuses her practice on healthcare law, advising clients on a wide range of regulatory, operational, and transactional matters. She has extensive experience handling transactions for clients across the country, including acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures involving hospitals, physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, home health agencies, hospices, and other providers. She also has experience in handling general corporate matters.
Successful healthcare transactions require a combination of regulatory and transactional proficiency – a skill set Melissa is able to offer her clients. In negotiating contracts and transactions, Melissa assists clients in reaching their business goals while remaining sensitive to regulatory constraints. Accordingly, she regularly counsels clients on a variety of healthcare regulatory issues, including compliance with federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws, corporate practice of medicine issues, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and state licensing requirements.
