Jeff Sheehan brings an appellate perspective to legal issues and strategy throughout the litigation process. In trial courts and on appeal, Jeff collaborates with attorneys across the litigation group to help protect clients’ interests. He has helped defend judgments in state and federal proceedings addressing product liability, financial services, and employment cases involving complex issues of state and federal law. As a part of Bradley’s pro bono practice, Jeff has briefed and prepared colleagues to argue in front of the Sixth Circuit on a range of habeas cases. In addition to his appellate practice, he has assisted with complex multi-district litigation and high-stakes business disputes.
Jeff joined the firm following a clerkship with the Hon. Gilbert S. Merritt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. While in law school, he served as editor-in-chief of the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law and received top honors in constitutional law. As a student practitioner in the Vanderbilt Appellate Litigation Clinic, Jeff was second chair for two oral arguments in the Sixth Circuit and collaborated on briefing for civil and criminal appeals.
