Alison Smith’s practice focuses on representing financial institutions, including mortgage servicers, in litigation and regulatory matters. Her work includes advising clients through the implementation and operationalizing of regulatory requirements as well as assisting clients in the response to and resolution of government investigations by federal and state regulators. Alison has extensive experience with the National Mortgage Settlement and the CFPB Mortgage Servicing Rules, as well as state laws and regulations governing her financial services clients.
Alison received her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School. While at Notre Dame, she served as the Symposium Editor for the Notre Dame Law Review and the President of the Women’s Legal Forum. Alison received her Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from Washington University in St. Louis.
