Jordan Stivers assists clients in the healthcare industry in regulatory, operational, and transactional matters. In particular, Jordan advises healthcare providers, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and physician practices, on HIPAA and HITECH compliance, day-to-day privacy and security operational issues, and data breach response. She has assisted clients in drafting, reviewing and negotiating business associate agreements and other healthcare technology agreements, as well as privacy policies and procedures.
Jordan also counsels clients in the financial services industry regarding compliance with state and federal laws and regulations that apply to financial institutions. She advises clients on protecting the privacy and security of customer and proprietary information, and complying with UDAAP statutes, the FCRA and FACTA, the GLBA, COPPA, the TCPA, and other laws.
Jordan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky, and earned her law degree from the American University Washington College of Law. While in law school, she interned for the U.S. Department of Justice, MedStar Health, Inc., and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Prior to joining Bradley, she worked in the Compliance and Operational Risk Control division of UBS. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
