Ann Cargile practices in the area of commercial real estate, representing property owners property managers, tenants and lenders, among others. In that capacity, she regularly advises clients on the complex interface between allocation of risk and the proper use of insurance in contracts, leases and loan documents. She also advises clients as to how the various provisions of their documents impact whether their insurance, or that of a third party, will be ultimately responsible for coverage of a loss. Ann sits on the Insurance Committee of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, which monitors and discusses the current issues in insurance as they affect real property. Ann also frequently teaches and writes on insurance topics that are of interest in the realm of commercial real estate.
