The American Institute on Federal Taxation, founded in 1976, is a tax-exempt organization whose function is to advance the knowledge of federal taxation through programs of study. The programs of the Institute present in lecture and outline form practical analysis and plans for dealing with current federal tax problems. The Board of Trustees is composed of certified public accountants and attorneys representing the entire spectrum of tax practice in order to ensure that all viewpoints are represented in planning the program. The speakers who appear at the Institute are highly proficient in their respective area of federal taxation and, of equal importance, are outstanding public speakers. The program outlines for the Institute are prepared by the speakers.
