Flood Insurance – Determining the Proper Amount of Insurance

Compliance professionals are familiar with the “Lesser of Three” calculation in determining the minimum amount of flood insurance for compliance purposes. Though seemingly straightforward, this calculation can be challenging, particularly in determining the “insurable value of the property.” This session will include a discussion of insurable value, analysis of the applicable regulations and guidance from regulators, and practical examples of how to determine the proper amount of flood insurance.
