Dick Sayles is Recognized for Legal Excellence by Chambers USA and Lawdragon

Mr. Sayles is recognized in the 2020 edition of Chambers USA as a Band One trial attorney for his experience and expertise in commercial litigation. He is one of only 12 Texas trial lawyers to achieve the top ranking this year. In addition, Mr. Sayles has been singled out by Chambers as one of 19 trial lawyers in its exclusive “Spotlight Table” category. Board Certified in both Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Sayles has tried more than 150 jury trials, earning more than a dozen verdicts in excess of $1 million, including a $1.67 billion patent infringement verdict in 2009. At the time, it was the largest patent verdict in U.S. history. He also has numerous significant defense wins. Those outcomes have been featured on several occasions among VerdictSearch’s annual compilation of top verdicts.
Honored as the Dallas Bar Association’s Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2018, Mr. Sayles has also been recognized by Benchmark Litigation and Best Lawyers in America. In addition, he is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the International Society of Barristers.
