Bruce Ely Quoted in Law360 Tax Authority on MTCs Partnership Project

Bradley partner Bruce Ely was quoted in Law360 Tax Authority on a massive project being conducted by the Multistate Tax Commission (MTC). The study of the state taxation of partnerships is likely the largest project it has ever undertaken, several state tax professionals said.

Ely said the MTC should be commended for the amount of information already compiled on its website regarding state taxation of partnerships. He stated that the ABA Tax Section's Committee on State and Local Taxes would convene a task force to examine and comment on proposals that the MTC work group comes up with.

The project could be ongoing for years, and Ely encouraged young state tax professionals to get involved.
