Whitt Steineker Named to Global Top 200 Cannabis Lawyers List
Bradley is pleased to announce that Birmingham partner Whitt Steineker has been named to the 2023-2024 edition of the Global Top 200 Cannabis Lawyers list published by Cannabis Law Report.
The fourth edition of the list highlights the top cannabis practitioners and practices around the world based on an annual survey of clients and lawyers in the cannabis legal services sector.
Mr. Steineker is co-chair of Bradley’s Cannabis Industry team and leads the firm’s Food, Beverage and Hospitality team. He provides a full suite of legal services to cannabis companies while also advising non-cannabis clients – such as banks, commercial real estate companies, insurance companies and high-net-worth individuals – on best practices for working with cannabis companies. A key part of Mr. Steineker’s practice is providing timely guidance to companies regarding the evolving legal status of cannabis in the U.S. and Canada, particularly to financial institutions on how to comply with the complex laws and regulations governing the provision of financial services to cannabis companies.
A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Steineker received his B.A. from the University of Alabama. He is a frequent author and speaker on cannabis issues around the country and is regularly featured in leading legal and mainstream publication. Mr. Steineker is listed in the 2023 edition of Chambers USA as a leading practitioner in Cannabis Law in the Eastern United States. He also has been recognized in Benchmark Litigation in the “40 & Under Hot List” and as a “Future Star” in Alabama.
