Bradley partner A.J. Bahou, who was recently tapped for the U.S. Ninth Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit’s AI Committee, was quoted in the Nashville Business Journal on artificial intelligence and the impacts on the industry.

“What courts are now concerned about is, No. 1, figuring out how and what the appropriate use is and providing guidance and/or rules for the attorneys that practice in those courts,” Bahou said regarding the new frontier in AI. “And understanding the benefits and drawbacks of that potential tool.”

The use of artificial intelligence has boomed across the healthcare and business world over the past year. As AI evolves, more business leaders across Nashville are embracing the technology and figuring out how it can improve efficiency. As it becomes more widely used, Bahou said the needs to be guidelines and an understanding of what is legally allowed.

“I think that the whole city is abuzz,” Bahou said. “I think the whole health care industry is starting to see the benefits.”

“I read a lot of articles, dig into the technical parts of it,” Bahou added on keeping up with emerging AI. “I have clients that seek patent applications on technology that deal with what you will see in three to five years in the marketplace. It helps me see the next generation of what’s coming out.”
