Lina Machado Bejarano Featured as a Trailblazer in Law and Advocacy
Georgia State Law Magazine
Bradley attorney Lina Machado Bejarano was profiled as a trailblazer in law and advocacy in a recent article in the Georgia State Law magazine.
A 2019 alumna of Georgia State University College of Law, Machado was recently featured for receiving Bradley’s 2024 Cameron J. Miller Award, which honors an associate who exemplifies leadership and community involvement.
The award included a $10,000 donation, which she directed to the Georgia State Law Immigration Clinic. The clinic provides direct representation to asylum seekers and victims of human trafficking, and it holds a special place in Machado’s heart. “As a former asylee, I understand the challenges of navigating the immigration system without legal support. The clinic’s work changes lives and trains future immigration attorneys,” she said.
The donation will further the clinic’s mission by enhancing resources for students and clients alike, allowing the clinic to hire additional interpreters and expert witnesses to support clients’ cases and hold additional pro se workshops in partnership with the community.
