Trey Bourn Elected a National Director of DRI
Bradley’s Freddie E. (Trey) Bourn III has been elected to a three-year term as a national director on the Board of Directors of DRI, the leading organization of civil defense attorneys and in-house counsel. Elections took place during the 2025 DRI Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, held October 15-17. Four national directors were elected, as well as four regional directors and 14 new state representatives.
Formed in 1960, DRI is the largest international membership organization of attorneys defending the interests of businesses and individuals in civil litigation. As the leading organization of civil defense attorneys and in-house counsel, DRI provides educational and informational resources to its members who strive to provide high-quality services to their clients.
Mr. Bourn is a partner in Bradley’s Jackson office, where he maintains a diverse litigation practice, advising clients from pre-litigation through trial, with a focus on defending product manufacturers in state and federal courts nationwide. His experience spans cases involving heavy equipment, aviation products, medical devices, and children’s toys. He also represents energy companies and project developers in multi-state condemnation actions and advises life sciences companies on matters related to medical research. Mr. Bourn is a frequent author and speaker on product liability topics, including the Right to Repair movement and corporate privilege.
Mr. Bourn has held several leadership roles within DRI. He served as chair of the Products Liability Committee (2023-2025), program chair of the 2019 Product Liability Conference, and chair of the Recreational Products Specialized Litigation Group (2012-2014). He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) and the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO), as well as the American Bar Association, Mississippi Bar Association, and Capital Area Bar Association. Mr. Bourn has been recognized in Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2009 and in The Best Lawyers in America since 2017.
