Bradley has been recognized by Auburn University for its commitment to the Auburn in Birmingham Building and the university’s Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on March 26 to dedicate the Bradley Workshare Office in the Auburn in Birmingham Building, formerly the Hood-McPherson Building, in downtown Birmingham, with several of the firm’s Auburn alumni in attendance.

Across the firm, Bradley has more than 60 attorneys who are Auburn University alumni, including Birmingham real estate partner Beau Byrd, who is a member and former chair of the Professional Advisory Board of Auburn’s MRED program. Mr. Byrd also served as president of the Auburn National Alumni Association from 2016 to 2018.

“As a commercial real estate attorney in Birmingham and a proud Auburn alum, this partnership is especially meaningful to me. It is truly impressive to see Auburn’s commitment to fostering growth and innovation with a hands-on, real-world experience offered by the programs housed in the Auburn in Birmingham Building,” Mr. Byrd said. “We are grateful to be recognized for Bradley’s gift of $100,000 and the individual contributions of so many of our attorneys, and we know that the MRED and the Winchester Institute will have a significant impact on the future of the commercial real estate industry.”

The Auburn in Birmingham Building opened in 2024 following a six-year, $22 million renovation, and houses Auburn’s College of Architecture, Design, and Construction (CADC) and the Harbert College of Business (HCOB). The university’s MRED program, supported by The Winchester Institute, helps equip graduates with the skills and perspective needed to shape communities and influence how people live, work, and play through an active connection with the real estate industry, relevant and practical educational offerings, and both academic and applied research.

“Bradley has called Birmingham home for more than 155 years, and we remain committed to the community and to the continued growth of Birmingham’s vibrant business economy,” said Bradley Birmingham Office Managing Partner Richard H. Monk III. “Auburn University shares that vision, and we are proud to support its innovative approach to connecting its academic programs with key development initiatives in Birmingham and throughout Alabama.”
