Bradley's Jim Archibald Elected Treasurer of the American College of Construction Lawyers

Bradley partner Jim Archibald has been elected treasurer of the American College of Construction Lawyers’ (ACCL) Executive Committee. The new committee members were installed at the ACCL’s Annual Meeting held February 19-22, 2026.

The ACCL is a national organization of lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill, experience, and high standards of professional and ethical conduct and who are dedicated to excellence in the practice of construction law. Upon completing his one-year term as treasurer, Mr. Archibald will continue to serve on the Executive Committee, progressing through the roles of secretary, president-elect, and eventually serving as president in 2029. He has been a Fellow of the ACCL since 2016 and just completed a three-year term on the ACCL Board of Governors.

Mr. Archibald has been a member of Bradley’s Construction Practice Group for more than 30 years, serving as practice group leader from 2009-2014. He advises contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers and engineers about construction contracts, project challenges, claims and disputes. He has tried or arbitrated more than 35 construction cases to final verdict or award, including those involving delays, cost overruns, labor inefficiency claims, wrongful terminations, project performance issues, construction defects and disputes over insurance coverage. He also represents clients in mediations and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings and serves as a mediator, assisting lawyers and their clients in achieving successful resolutions in construction disputes.

Mr. Archibald is a Fellow with the Construction Lawyers Society of America and the American Bar Foundation and was a founding member of the Construction Law Section of the Alabama State Bar, serving as chair of the section from 2014-2015. He was also an adjunct professor at the University of Alabama from 2002-2014 where he taught Construction Law. Mr. Archibald has been ranked in Chambers USA in the Alabama: Construction section since 2022 and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for his construction practice since 2009, earning the “Lawyer of the Year” designation in Birmingham for Construction Law five times.
