Bradley Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Jonathan Skeeters was quoted in Law.com discussing the conflict in Iran’s potential to disrupt deal work and other U.S. law firm practices.
While the war is more could likely to cause a slowdown for some energy practices, it will not necessarily have a huge impact on other practice areas or on [Bradley] as a whole.
“I’m not sure it will impact litigation as much as it would deal flow and development,” Skeeters said. “I could see the side effects being slower activity and maybe a little less demand than we’re anticipating if it lingers. If it gets prolonged, I think it will just cause more uncertainty to deal with.”
Skeeters noted that general uncertainty at the beginning of 2025 — amid higher interest rates, global tariffs, deregulation and a change in U.S. presidential administration — served to dampen demand at his firm before it recovered later in the year.
