Bradley Launches Operations Center to Support Continued Strategic Growth

Firm News

Bradley has established the Bradley Operations Center in downtown Birmingham’s historic Federal Reserve Building, creating a centralized hub for key administrative services that will support the firm’s 13 offices, more than 750 lawyers, and continued growth.

Bradley will occupy 16,860 square feet across the first and second floors of the building, which is located adjacent to the firm’s office in One Federal Place. Together, the facilities will establish an expanded downtown campus designed to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and client service. The Bradley Operations Center will centralize several administrative departments, including Accounting & Finance, Human Resources, Marketing & Business Development, and Practice Management.

“As the site of the firm’s first and largest office, Birmingham is where Bradley was founded in 1870 and has called home for more than 155 years. We see this investment in an operations center as a reflection of both our history here and our commitment to the city of Birmingham,” said Birmingham Office Managing Partner Richard H. Monk III. “Expanding our presence in downtown supports the firm’s vision for growth while reinforcing our commitment to Birmingham’s economic vitality, business community, and the clients we serve.”

Bradley is one of the city’s largest law firms and a long-standing contributor to Alabama’s business and civic communities. With more than 215 Birmingham attorneys and advisors, the firm’s largest concentration of business professionals is based in the Birmingham office, complemented by additional operational and leadership roles located throughout Bradley’s offices nationwide. Strategic expansion efforts in recent years have grown the firm’s footprint, and continued investment in talent, innovation, technology, and infrastructure have helped fuel the firm’s strong performance.

“The Bradley Operations Center represents a significant step in how we support the firm,” said Bradley Chief Operating Officer Rance Sapen. “By bringing key business and administrative teams together, we are strengthening collaboration, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing a scalable support system that allows our attorneys to focus on delivering top‑tier service to clients.”

Originally constructed in 1926 as a branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the Federal Reserve Building was later converted for multi-tenant office use. In 2003, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and in 2014, it was part of a comprehensive restoration project to preserve its historic character.
