US General Accountability Office on Third Party Litigation Panel

Tripp Haston served on the U.S. General Accountability Office’s expert panel on third-party litigation financing (TPLF), along with other experts who were invited by the GAO from academia, industry and private practice. TPLF currently drives and funds most of the civil mass tort litigation in the U.S. The panel discussed regulation and disclosure of TPLF and its true effects on the U.S. legal system and its participants. The panel discussion led to the creation of the GAO’s report, Third-Party Litigation Financing: Market Characteristics, Data, and Trends | U.S. GAO.
