Presented on Tennessee law governing controlled substance prescribing. This included an overview of legal requirements relating to:

• checking the Controlled Substance Monitoring Database
• prescribing opioids for acute, moderate, prolonged and post-operative pain
• exempt conditions from the TN controlled substance prescribing legal requirements
• informed consent requirements
• electronic prescriptions requirements
