Bradley's Marc James Ayers Appointed to Standing Advisory Committee on Rule of Appellate Procedure by Alabama Supreme Court

Bradley is pleased to announce that Marc James Ayers has been appointed to serve on the Standing Advisory Committee on the Rules of Appellate Procedure by the Alabama Supreme Court.

A partner in Bradley’s Birmingham office, Mr. Ayers represents individual, corporate, and government clients before state and federal appellate courts throughout the country. He has also represented clients on petitions for certiorari and amicus curiae briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court and has presented oral arguments in the Fourth, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh and D.C. Circuits, and in various state appellate courts in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, New York, Maryland, Texas and Wyoming. Mr. Ayers is board certified in appellate practice by the Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization and Education and is a frequent speaker and author on topics regarding appellate practice.

Mr. Ayers is an active member of the Alabama legal community and has served as chair of the Appellate Practice Section of the Alabama State Bar and was previously appointed by the Alabama Supreme Court to serve on the Alabama Pattern Jury Instruction Committee. He is also a member of the Amicus Curiae Committee of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and serves as general counsel to the Alabama Senate Republican Caucus.
