Bradley is pleased to announce that Christopher C. Puri has been appointed to a two-year term as chair of the American Health Care Association’s (AHCA) Legal Committee, which began in January 2024. He was also named a member of the Constitution and Bylaws Committee.
Mr. Puri is a nationally recognized professional in long term care and senior housing who handles a full array of legal issues for providers. As a member of Bradley’s Long Term Care & Senior Housing team, he understands the business of post-acute care and how it affects a client’s legal goals. He works with clients to develop long term care policy at both the state and national levels, as well as educates clients and attorneys in those areas. Mr. Puri is an active member of the AHCA, serving on the Legal Committee for almost two decades, and has served as outside counsel for the Tennessee Health Care Association, AHCA’s Tennessee state affiliate, since 1998.
AHCA is the largest association in the United States representing long term and post-acute care providers, with more than 14,000 member facilities. The organization advocates for individuals who require services provided in a long term care setting by developing necessary and reasonable public policies to support quality care and quality of life. The Legal Committee is responsible for researching and reviewing legal issues that could potentially impact AHCA and developing proactive legal strategies, as well as setting annual priorities and evaluating the need for involvement in litigation. The Constitution and Bylaws Committee works on any proposed changes by the AHCA Board of Governors, leadership, or committees.
Mr. Puri has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Health Care Law since 2021 and is a past chair of the American Health Law Association (AHLA)’s Post-Acute and Long Term Services Practice Group. He also served on the Planning Committee for the AHLA’s Long Term Care and the Law Program.
