Bradley Partner Marc Ayers Elected American Bar Foundation Fellow
Bradley is pleased to announce that Marc James Ayers, a partner in the firm’s Birmingham office, has been elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF).
The ABF Fellows are a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law faculty and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of the communities. Membership is limited to 1% of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. The Fellows provide support through annual contributions and sponsorship of seminars and events of direct relevance to the legal profession.
Mr. Ayers’ practice involves working with individual, corporate, and governmental clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts across the country. He also represents clients in petitions for certiorari and in filing amicus curiae briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Ayers has presented oral argument in the Fourth, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, and D.C. circuits, and in various state appellate courts in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, New York, Maryland, Mississippi, Texas and Wyoming.
He is listed in Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America® and Mid-South Super Lawyers in the field of Appellate Law, and his achievements have earned him election as a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers (AAAL). Additionally, he is board certified in appellate practice by the Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization and Education. Mr. Ayers frequently speaks on appellate matters and has contributed numerous writings on appellate and other legal issues.
An independent, nonprofit organization, the ABF was founded in 1952 by the American Bar Association (ABA) and seeks to expand knowledge and advance justice through innovative, interdisciplinary, and rigorous empirical research on law, legal processes, and legal institutions.
