Bradley Continues Texas Corporate Growth in Dallas with Addition of Viking Tao

Bradley has added prominent corporate partner Viking W. Tao to its Corporate & Securities Practice Group in Dallas. The arrival of Ms. Tao continues the growth of the firm’s Dallas office, which now boasts more than 60 attorneys and has more than tripled in size since its launch in 2019.

Ms. Tao advises clients from a wide range of sectors in mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate development and investment, corporate finance, partnership and joint venture negotiations, and commercial disputes. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese and regularly works with Chinese and other Asian companies entering the United States, providing advice regarding alliances with U.S. businesses and navigating U.S. regulatory or compliance requirements. Ms. Tao also works with U.S. companies regarding their investments in China and negotiations with Chinese companies. Prior to entering private practice, she served as in-house counsel in New York for a major international financial institution during its $9.7 billion IPO.

Ms. Tao earned her J.D. from Cardozo School of Law and received her LL.B. from Beijing University School of Law. An active member of the Dallas community, Ms. Tao has held leadership roles in several local Asian American nonprofit organizations and has served as general counsel for the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce of Dallas since 2011.

Bradley has added 16 attorneys to the Dallas office in the past year, adding experience in key areas such as complex litigation, healthcare, real estate, government enforcement, corporate, M&A, construction, and energy. Complemented by a parallel trajectory of growth in the firm’s Houston office, which recently added corporate partners David Sheinbein and Amy Moss, the firm now has more than 140 attorneys who are licensed in Texas. These recent hires are a part of Bradley’s successful growth strategy, which contributed to the firm’s double-digit increases in revenue and net income in 2024. Bradley was named among the top 10 law firms for percentage growth in Texas last year, according to an article in The Texas Lawbook.
