Aron Beezley Quoted in Law360 on Supreme Court Signal Against Expanding Contractor Immunity

Bradley attorney Aron Beezley was quoted in Law360 on the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision rejecting GEO Group Inc.’s attempt to immediately appeal a denial of its defense, a ruling that signals a tougher litigation road ahead for government contractors.

Beezley said the decision shows the justices may also take a narrower view of contractor protections in other pending cases.

As for whether the decision might indicate what's to come in Hencely v. Fluor Corp., another key case before the Supreme Court, Beezley said the ruling reflects the justices' reluctance to extend or treat contractor defenses as immunities, "suggesting they may similarly constrain broad immunities or preemption arguments in contractor-related cases like Hencely."
