Jeff Harvey Quoted in Bloomberg Law on New Global Tariffs' Impact on Importers

Bradley attorney Jeff Harvey was quoted in Bloomberg Law emphasizing the practical uncertainty created by the legal fight in a lawsuit challenging President Trump’s new global tariffs.

Importers must currently pay the tariffs even though their legality is uncertain. “If the lawsuit is successful, Section 122 tariffs could be invalidated just as the IEEPA tariffs were invalidated, which would create a new refund issue for Customs and importers,” said Harvey. “For now, importers are caught in the middle of an administration insistent on imposing tariffs without clear authority to do so.”
