Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Kindall C. James, a partner in the firm’s Houston office, has been elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF).

The ABF Fellows are a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law faculty and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of the communities. Membership is limited to 1% of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. The Fellows provide support through annual contributions and sponsorship of seminars and events of direct relevance to the legal profession.

Ms. James is a labor and employment attorney with vast experience defending employers in a wide variety of employment-related disputes before state and federal courts in Texas and Louisiana, state and federal agencies, and private arbitrators. She handles disputes alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 1981, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ERISA, and other federal and state laws.

An independent, nonprofit organization, the ABF was founded in 1952 by the American Bar Association (ABA) and seeks to expand knowledge and advance justice through innovative, interdisciplinary, and rigorous empirical research on law, legal processes, and legal institutions.
