Bradley Partner Ian P. Faria Elected Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates
Bradley is pleased to announce that Houston partner Ian P. Faria was elected to the Texas Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). New members were voted into ABOTA at the National Board Meeting in Detroit, Michigan.
ABOTA is a national invitation-only organization comprised of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
A member of Bradley’s Construction and Government Contracts practice groups, Mr. Faria is board certified in Construction Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and focuses his practice on megaprojects in all construction disciplines, including infrastructure, petrochemical, commercial, industrial and residential construction law. He was a founding partner of Bradley’s the Houston office, which opened in 2016, and served as the first office managing partner.
Mr. Faria has successfully defended numerous contractors in cases involving claims of alleged defective construction and has extensive trial experience in federal and state court, as well as arbitrations in multimillion- and multibillion-dollar private and governmental projects throughout Texas. Well-versed in negotiating complex settlements of claims, he has prepared and negotiated major design and construction agreements for numerous high-profile projects, including multibillion-dollar projects across the state.
A graduate of South Texas College of Law, Mr. Faria has been listed in Chambers USA since 2017, The Best Lawyers in America® since 2013 (including “Lawyer of the Year” in 2019 for Litigation – Construction), and Texas Super Lawyers since 2014, where he was named to the Top 100 Texas (2025) and Top 100 Houston (eight times since 2016) lists. He is a Fellow in the Construction Lawyers Society of America, Texas Bar Foundation, and Houston Bar Foundation. He is also a panel member for the American Arbitration Association.
