Bradley attorney Aron Beezley was quoted in Law360 on several major federal contracting policy changes in 2025 that have affected how contractors do business.

Efforts to streamline government operations have instead led to slower contract administration, Beezley noted. Agencies have taken longer to pay contractors, award new contracts and resolve claims due to staffing shortages and a reduced government workforce.

“DOGE's impact, particularly at the beginning of the year, was felt by most in our community, and I think ultimately, a lot of what DOGE tried to do ended up being counterproductive,” Beezley said. “We're starting to see the effects of DOGE's actions dissipate, but they definitely had an impact in terms of slowing down just how regular government contracts were administered.”
