Derek Andre is an associate in the firm’s Construction Practice Group. He represents owners, developers, and contractors in disputes, transactions, and as project counsel in a wide range of legal, compliance, regulatory, and strategic issues. With experience in complex disputes and transactions, he regularly helps business clients avoid disputes where possible and navigate the legal and commercial risks if disputes arise.
Derek frequently writes on topics related to construction dispute resolution, construction contracting, manufacturing, trade sanctions, and other topics intersecting with the construction industry. He has been published in the Mercer Law Review, the Atlanta Business Chronicle, and RInPrax, a German law journal addressing industrial and infrastructure projects, among other publications.
A proud Hoosier, Derek earned his J.D. from the Duke University School of Law and his B.A. (summa cum laude) in Political Science from Wabash College.
