Tim Ford has experience representing owners, developers, contractors, suppliers, construction managers, design professionals and subcontractors in all phases of the construction process, with an emphasis on complex construction litigation. His clients range from single family homeowners to small business owners, local developers, regional contactors, subcontractors, and suppliers, and national construction and design companies. Tim’s litigation experience includes not only construction defects and related insurance coverage disputes, but also contract and commercial disputes involving delay and acceleration claims, differing site conditions, changes, extra work, disputed terminations, defective work, liquidated damages, and consequential damages. Tim routinely counsels clients on project administration issues involving contract drafting and negotiation, change order and payment disputes, and lien and surety bond claims.

Tim is board certified by the Florida Bar in Construction Law and an active member of the Forum on Construction Law of the American Bar Association, where he serves in leadership as a member of the Forum’s Governing Committee. Tim was also chair of Division 7 (Insurance, Surety & Liens) of the Forum on Construction Law, as well as co-chair of the Construction Law Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He routinely speaks at seminars on various construction law topics impacting the industry.
