Abba Harris is an associate in the Construction and Procurement Litigation group, where she assists clients in every aspect of the construction process, from negotiating contracts to dispute resolution. Abba also has experience with general civil litigation, including high-value contract, commercial, insurance, products liability, class action toxic torts, tort, and personal injury matters.
Abba graduated from Cumberland School of Law, summa cum laude. At Cumberland, Abba was the Chief Justice of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board, as well as an oral advocate on the National Team, winning the Regional Championship of the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition in 2013. She also served as Articles Editor of the Cumberland Law Review and an Honor Court Justice.
Before attending law school, Abba worked at Time, Inc. as the Associate Homes Editor of Coastal Living and as Editor-in-Chief of PORTICO, a Birmingham-based lifestyle magazine.
Abba received her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Journalism from Northwestern University in 2005 and 2004, respectively.
